Hopi

'"Peaceful ones... Hopeful"
The Hopi Indians have lived in Northwestern Arizona for thousands of years and possess some of the longest inhabited settlements in the U.S. dating back to 1100 A.D.

The Hopi are very skilled craftsmen of pottery and rugs. The pottery was formed with wet clay and buried under the sand until it dried. Hopi pottery is one of the most recognizable of all pottery making tribes out there because of its vivid colors and distinct hieroglyphics.
