Group of seven very fine Makah/Nootka covered baskets

The Designs on the sides and covers are motifs of the Northwest region. Birds, whales, whalers in fishing boats and colorful stripes adorn these baskets.

Provenance: The Schwabacher Collection, San Francisco.
Sizes: 2in to 4 1/4in diameters.
The smallest basket was made by Frances Williams who died in 1996.
